We all know some corals can take over, normally it is GSP smothering SPS and others. Euphyllia can reach out and sting, I have seen my frogspawn reach out and kill mushrooms 6" away. But this morning looking at my tank I see a three headed frogspawn that floated from 6" away to land on my nice SPS frag from Ty. Tooth brush to the rescue, hoping there is no damage and I got there in time (sorry about the crappy pictures)

Can you imagine if this would of happened on the weekend? The Bonsai has become my favorite with its great PE extension, growth, and color

An update looks like the top polyp is a goner

It'll grow right back Alton. I wouldn't even worry about it.

The big question is did the frogspawn polyp get lucky and land on the Bonsai, or did it swim there? I was trying to find pictures of one of my old frogspawn stretching out six inches to sting and kill a shroom, which was odd since it was surrounded by shrooms with no issues.

If I had a theory, it would be that a piece broke off the main colony and floated off and happened to land on top of the colony.

The Purple Bonsai will be fine. If not you can get a large frag from me.
