Have an aquarium that can't be moved outside to be cleaned. It is a glass 120g aquarium with an acrylic sump. Could you add vinegar to the regular water and let the aquarium run a few days then clean the glass and sand? I am thinking the vinegar will help loosen up all the debris especially the coralline all over the glass. I would then just keep doing full fresh water changes until everything is clean again.

Trying to figure out the least time consuming part to clean the aquarium. It has no fish and I can seed new bacteria later when I re-setup the tank.

Depends how much vinegar you want to use. I use a 75/25 mix of vinegar to water to break up coralline. That's a whole lot of vinegar in your tank... That and it'll stink up the house big time.

As long as the coralline is still wet, pretty easy to remove with a scraper even without the vinegar. Just some good elbow grease.
