Sunday January 29th
12-1:45PM Board Meeting
2-4PM Hospital Tanks

The San Antonio Aquarium
6320 Bandera Road

Join the MAAST Board of Directors for our first meeting of the year! We will be holding our Quarter One board meeting from 12-145PM followed by a presentation by the board of directors on hospital tanks.

Hospital tanks are an integral part of our hobby and help provide short term homes for new additions to our aquariums or to treat fish who are showing signs of an ailment.

Our presentations will show various options to setting up a hospital tank along with equipment we reccomend.

Please rsvp if you're able to make it!

Thank you Justin for the educational speech! Thank you for my prize from last years coral grow out contest also. Good info here and I learned a lot but also heard of things that didn't stick at all lol like all the fish diseases that were mentioned. Good stuff here and I'm going to try to hit more meetings here on out. Justin sorry for all the issues your having with your tank and I know who to ask if I have any pest cuz sounds like you've had them all. Good talking to you also Zack. Thanks

Great meeting everyone and thank you for the kind words. I unfortunately, was speaking from experience and wanted to impart some of my findings and research to the group. My main goal was to highlight that having a QT/Isolation tank should be looked at as a necessity and must have; rather than a wish list. Especially when you deal with the reality, that if you do get an unwanted pests, there are more of those than the beneficial kind, and it runs rampant in your tank, you will kick yourself for not qt 'ing or isolating your new additions to your tank life.

Best of luck to us all and Happy Reefing. We all discussed having a nice 101 on Zoanthids and Paly topic for our upcoming February meeting. Be sure to come out and support the group.
