Yellow coris wrasse

I have the dangdist luck with them over the years , whats the secret??

Few years ago i bought a juv. Acclimated, put it in the tank and straight to thensand it went...never seen again, its was perfectly fine at the store.

2nd one bought a bigger wrasse, put it in the tank and few weeks later it died.....however i had a velvet out break so i contribute it to that.

3rd one i picked up last weekend, drip acclimated, put it in the tank.. its been in the sand since

Sounds like you might have an aggressive fish picking on it. I've always had best luck adding them at night. They also need plenty of room to swim and rocks to pick on.

Yellow tang
Pair of clowns
Starry blenny
Mel. Wrasse
3 fire fish
2 chromis

This is the first coris i tried in this tank. The other 2 were in a different set up in my old house. I added the wrasse right before lights out

It could be the Mel Wrasse or the Tang harrassing it. They fight for the same retail space and hide in the sand as well.

WOW good news he is still alive, he is out and about this morning before lights on, i put a little food in the tank for him.
