Good morning everyone!
I just wanted to put a quick charter member blast out there for those who have been on the fence about signing up and for those who will be expiring soon. About 75% of our dues from last year came between this time last year up until our LMAR frag swap last November and we wanted to show everyone how much awesome stuff we were able to do with your dues! For less than the price of a small coffee a month, each one of our charter members helped us put together an awesome 2016 calendar! If we can keep up the great numbers from last year or even increase, 2017 will be an AMAZING year!
Here's what we've done this year!
JANUARY 31ST Hands on Food Making Demo @Coral Cove- every member in attendance (about 35 people) was able to make a custom batch of Coral Cove's new frozen food and a full bottle home with them!
FEBUARY 28th, 2-4PM Store Showcase & Tank of the Year winners Announced- We used your dues for the TOTY winners prizes as well as several small giveaways to introduce South Seas Aquatics brand new store!
MARCH 27th Tank Tour from 12-4PM We used your dues to fund a mini pot-luck and held a Rapid LED Onyx sponsored by Rapid LED
APRIL 10th LED Showcase from 2-4PM @Mike’s House we used your dues to pay for a meal during our Q2 board meeting that served the 25 people in attendance. We also used some of your dues to renew our site hosting agreement!
MAY 1st LMAR Frag Swap from 12-4PM In addition to all the printing, marketing, and swag (coolers and coozies) we also used your dues to pay for the following items for our Charter Member Raffle:
Maxspect Gyre XF-130
Apex Jr W/ Digital Display
AI Hydra 26HD
JUNE 12th Elegant Reef Meeting- we used your dues and Elegant Reef's sponsor donation to pickup a go-pro HERO as our charter member giveaway and also with the help of ER, paid for beer, sodas, and food for everyone in attendance!
JULY 31st Sherita’s Acrylic Demo- we used your dues to pay for 15 acrylic viewer box kits as well as a small travel fee for our speaker! Each member in attendance build their own look down box and got to take it home!
AUGUST 28th Polly’s Pets, Flow- we used your dues to pay for a hydro gen 3 set along with a smart controller for our charter member giveaway!
SEPTEMBER 25th @Coral Cove DIY Algae Scrubbers- we will be using your dues to build as many DIY algae scrubber kits as we need! Each member will get to build their own scrubber and take it home!
We have some really really awesome raffles lined up for the November LMAR and some great meetings coming up for the rest of the year! If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a charter, or you are curious as to when you expire, please PM me and I will let you know! Dues are ONLY $25 for a years worth of benefits that help keep our club and our site running smoothly! We also will be accepting new charter members at our September and October meeting as well as during our frag swap!
