I have Xenia growing like weeds and taking over everything.

Any suggestions on how to control.... other than just taking the rocks out :-)

Thanks

Rick

I got a needle and injected it with viniger yesterday to try to keep it under control.
I read you can do the same thing with kalk paste or H2O2.

I usually just pull it off with tweezers and give it away. But if your not careful you can release pieces in the water column and they will pop up in another place.

You can also put stinging corals around it

Two ways I have seen to remove Xenia, lower your nitrates and phosphates very quickly and Xenia starves. Take one rock out a time and freshwater dip and then brush off. Take weeks to do this one.

Safety first . You could always get a long sharp flathead screwdriver and a hammer and chisel away the pieces and have frags. Then you can trade or sell. That's what i do if I have something I need removed and the rock is already in the tank.
