I am fed up with my reactors and buying new ones ASAP but there are way to many options.

From your experience which ones have proven to be the best? I will install gfo/carbon setup on a 120g and 300g tank.

I want something that is easy to maintain, does not clog and I buy it all in one kit. The GFO I have is BRS cheaper stuff and BRS 08 carbon. I can change media if needed.

Really want something that requires least amount of maintenance and works for larger setups. I have looked at BRS reactors and a few others but still not sure.

Thank you for the help!

Several of our sponsors sell BRS stuff, you may contact one of them and get there opinion. Elegant Reef and Salty Aquariums I know have there merchandise. Since I don't have leathers I don't use Carbon that often, I do keep it on hand just in case of an emergency. I use the the best carbon that BRS offers. On the GFO I like Rowa Phos and only use it when I think I need it.

I personally use the BRS jumbo reactors and don't have any issues.

I got away from using reactors all together. I have simplified it to just a 100 micron bag placed under the drain in the sump. The bag is filled with only high capacity GFO (1/4 of the recommended amount for a 300+ gallon system). Like Alton, I only use carbon when a problem develops, and that will only be for a couple of days max. I found that certain carbons seem to have a negative effect on the SPS in the system. I also use a Hanna ULR PO4 kit to measure the effectiveness of the GFO, and once the PO4 levels creep above .05 I change out the GFO and I am usually good for a several months. But the greatest drop in PO4 levels happens in the first week. Where it usually drops bellow .02. I've been using this method for a number of years with success.
