Hello all,

Mine use to be sps dominant. Until I moved from my house and had a tank crash :( all my coral started out from frags and I grew them under AI led sol blue

That's how my old 125-gallon was... all frags from 1"-2" and I grew colonies from it. It was very rewarding to experience that. Same thing happened to me when I upgraded, I lost a bunch if colonies.
For the 215-gallon, I went with a mix of small frags and some larger maricultures. I just couldn't wait around for colonies again.

Here's a video I shot of my tank this past summer before I pulled all fish to go fallow for 76 days and removed all acros to prophylactically dip for pests before I glued them to their final resting spots.

Fun video of my recent Colorado Sunburst anemone splits. Sorry, yes they are sold already. :)
I apologize for the ridiculous background music but it's kind of what I'm known for in Austin.

Here are a few recent pictures of my tank. It started out as SPS with a few anemones. I got infected with SPS pests and my SPS got wipe out. Now it evolved into an anemone tank

I'm running a 135 mainly SPS. I have a couple of LPS and Zoas but its mainly SPS. I just had a bit of tank crash and now I'm battling Bryopsis. Its a shame but looking at the silver lining of things, I know have some space to get some designer corals!!!

Your tank looks great! I'm glad to see your Gigas is doing so well. I will be moving mine to a new system soon. I am praying the move wont be too stressful for it.

Troy,
How big is your Gigas now? They are pretty hardy. I guess as long as you support them and don't drop them which will result in a lot of trauma, they will be fine. We see pictures of Gigas brought up from the deep and put in the sun for a few hrs to induce spawn. I think after the spawn, they were fine.

Thank you sir. Nothing special with the system itself.
215-gallon DT
75-gallon sump
Biopellets
GFO
Carbon
Calcium Reactor
Reef Octopus 5000 Skimmer
3x Ocean Revive T-247 LED fixtures
1x 48" Reefbrite 50/50 fixture in front to mask gaps between fixtures
I don't do any water changes ever and dose aminos 2x/week. I also feed an absurd amount of food to my large fish population and let them fertilize my corals for me.
I must say, I was a hardcore MH fan, but these LEDs won me over for value and for aesthetics. If I was rich, I'd run an ATI power module but both the fixture and the cost of replacing that many T5 bulbs is not in my budget.

When fully open its around 32". I don't have a measurement on the shell. There is only 20" between my center braces so this is going to be a challenge removing it.
