As I mentioned in our 210g tank FS thread, we are ready to make some big changes and will be taking down a tank, combining livestock, coral, etc. from two tanks into one smaller system. This means we are keeping a few of our favorites and looking for new homes for the rest.

There are fish on this list that we've had for several (8-9) years, so please understand that we are really attached to them and feel strongly about finding them the very best home that we can. This may not be a "first one with cash in hand can have it" situation. We'd like to request that you PM a brief description of the tank that the fish would be calling home as part of the process of showing your interest. Please include the size/dimensions of your tank, other inhabitants, what you feed and how often, and any other relevant details you wish to include. We may have other specific questions, depending on the fish.

Sohal tang 12" with streamers, SOLD
blue hippo tang 10", $75, pending Jesse / SATX reefer
male bellus angel 4" with streamers, SOLD
red velvet fairy wrasse 4", $100
coral beauty angel 2.5", $25, pending Jesse / SATX reefer, 2nd: Klesel
orchid dottyback (ORA) 2", $20, pending Klesel
pajama cardinal 2" - $5 for web member or free to charter member, pending Klesel
mated/spawning pair of maroon clowns with their carpet anemone, $50, pending Jesse / SATX reefer
2 blue damsels - free to charter member, pending Klesel

live rock w polyps - details to be announced after we rework the tanks

Other anemones (GBTA, tube anemone, strawberry anemones) will probably be up for sale at that time also, just not sure how many yet.

Any fish that comes from our tank has been VERY WELL FED and is the ultimate example of a "fat and happy" healthy fish. I'm pretty sure that any MAAST member that has been around a while has seen this in person and can vouch for us on this point.

I should be able to add some photos to this thread by the weekend, but until then, you can view almost all of these fish in these threads:

We will also have a bunch of small strawberry anemones. Brought 2 at Macna when it was in Dallas years ago for like $20 each. Now have a bunch of them. They are bright red and ultra sticky. Kind of look a little like a red aptasia, but fatter and not a pest. They don't shrink down to nothing like aptasia and have kind of a blue highlight at night under actinics/moonlights. They tend to like lower light settings and trap floating food like small bubble tips. I think they are pretty cool.

Mike and Kristy, if still available and doesn't nip at corals I'll take the red velvet. I'll house it in my 330g mixed reef with plenty of room for it to swim around. The only other wrasses are a cleaner and yellow wrasse.

This is such an awesome fish. A very knowledgeable reefer once advised us that he always keeps a tang from the bristle tooth family in every tank (more common ones are kole tang, chevron tang, etc). They are awesome algae grazers and great when you can't keep much of a clean-up crew due to other fish who won't leave them alone, which was the case for us in our 140g.

Can you send me a little info about your tank by PM? I would really appreciate it. Or we could text photos if that's easier for you.

Hi David! It is still available and I remember your tanks, so I know that this would be a great home for this gorgeous wrasse. Just double checking... You keep tops on your 330g?

Oops, forgot to address your question about corals. No nipping whatsoever. Model citizen.

More info about the bellus angel:
This is a really striking fish, fully mature with lovely streamers on his tail. He has fully converted from female to male (the bellus is one of the sexually dimorphic species). Bellus angels are one of the very few angelfish that are considered totally reef-safe, even more so than the dwarf angels, which can be a roll of the dice. This guy has never bothered a coral or another fish, and has been kept with other angelfish (flame angel and coral beauty). I got this guy from Mike/texreefer when he tore down his giant tank and sold it to Allan, which means he has been in our care for almost 7 years. I promise to get some pics up soon, but there are a couple of really nice ones Cory took in the TOTQ article. He still looks exactly like that except his streamers are now a bit longer.

We've had a great deal of interest and some maybes on all the fish, so I am sure they are all going to find great homes soon. Three fish still available are in bold text: the bellus angel, the red velvet fairy wrasse, and the orchid dottyback. Thanks to everyone who has looked, asked questions, been willing to answer questions of mine! Reach out to me if you are considering any of these fish and would like me to text you a photo, have questions, etc.

Current plan is to catch fish and rehome livestock this weekend (Feb 20-21), then we will be able to move everything that is staying into the smaller tank and tear down the 210 system by the end of the month (weekend of Feb 27-28). Thanks so much for being patient and understanding the process! :)
