I have a couple of clown fish in a newly established 36 gallon aquarium and the female is laying on the bottom breathing hard and not eating. If you try to move her she swims away but stays on the bottom. We set-up the aquarium with live rock, live sand, bio-balls and water from another one of our established aquariums and I added live bacteria.

I've checked all the levels, temp @ 78, salinity 126, PH 7.8, nitrates zero.

The fish have been in the tank for over a week and this just started today.

Any suggestions?

unfortunately these things happen. I would be sure to let your tank cycle a little longer before adding anything else.

Sorry, sucks to lose fish. Good advice to wait a while before adding anything else. Give your tank a while to cycle/mature. Rarely does anything good happen quickly in this hobby.

Yeah, it's my 10 year old son's aquarium. He is learning the hard way that you can't rush these things.
