Well I was gifted a 29 gallon tank this Christmas and I just so happened to have a stand and custom built tall canopy sitting in storage. that being said i plan on keeping softies like pom pom xenia, leathers, palythoas, entrusting gorgonians and so on. I Plan on using the Venturi method which from what i remember is live rock, a deep sand bed, and a protein skimmer (decided that an over flow and a sump in an apartment is way to much to deal with this go round)
So far i have a new Aqeon 29 gallon and plan on buying a Remora HOB protein skimmer with the add on surface skimmer.
Here is the problem, turns out power compact lighting is not a thing any more and im either going to have to go VHO which is affordable or LED which is pricey but doesnt produce the heat associated with pc's and Hailides, im just fishing for info.
