I just set up a new tank, I'm looking to get copepods into it as soon as it's cycled. It's a 17 gallon Mr. Aqua and most of my rock was dry rock. I suspect that there are very little if any copepods in my tank. This is my only saltwater tank so I don't have a refugium to get them from. I'm planning to keep a small reef safe wrasse.
Has anyone tried the Algagen Reef Pods copepods in a bottle? Who sells them locally in San Antonio?
Thanks,
Adam

Check with Hanna, but there are two other companies I use for Pods.
Getyourpods.com (bogo 1200 pack is a great deal) Get more than one to justify shipping).
and
AQuarium Depot: BUT... Only do this pack when they do the buy one get one free 1000 pod offer. its usually 20.00 and if you add to your cleaning or fuge with a free shipping pack, you wont have to pay the shipping for them.
Hope that helps?!?!
But keep it local if you can and go to Hanna first!

Thanks for the replies. I was not aware of Coral Cove, I'd much rather get them locally rather than ship.
Where is Coral Cove located?

She has a listed post of hours. It is very minimal during the next couple weeks. I think she is closed every sunday until Christmas.

How did it work out for you? Check out 12_egg_omelette. He is local and has three different futures types. Tell him I sent you. I just ordered from him and I give him full marks. Great pod cutlures

I bought some Tigger Pods from Elegant Reef. Not a good deal compared to buying them from 12_egg_omelette but at the time I didn't know of him. Hopefully some of them will survive long enough to reproduce. They are very orange, lively and I don't think my tiny ocellaris clown or tail-spot blenny will really eat many of them. I'm hoping they will be able to live in my Aquaclear 50 filter. I don't have room for a refugium. I agree with you about supporting locals and will certainly do so next time.
Merry Christmas
