View Full Version : Geismann T5 bulbs, what's your experience?

Hi all!!!

Looking to change up my T5 supplemental bulbs for my MH fixture, looking at Geismann bulbs and wanted your feedback and experience. I like the power chrome reviews and possibly lagoon bulbs. I only have 2 t5 as supplement. I'm playing with the idea of getting rid of my MH fixture as well. But almost afraid too. My tank is just now starting to come into its good period after a year of nada.

Thoughts, experiences, advice appreciated

When I used T5 the only G bulbs I used was the actinic, I used ATI for everything else. Now I use BML LEDs with my MH or straight BML

What combo of BML do you use? Just 1 fixture or more? You running 14 or 20k and/or actinic?

On my 300 I use 2 X 6', on my other tanks 20K XB. My wife's tank has a 12k. With using the BML I don't have to run the MH as many hours, cutting down on heat and energy usage. The 20k XB is my favorite because BML gets close to matching the 20k radium lamp
