Hi Guys and Gals,
I need some help here and hope someone can assist.

I have a 75 gall DIY sump-refug that was made for me but the return section was made to big.
I would like to move the glass baffles to make the refug section bigger and the return section a little smaller.

Once you cut the baffles out of the glue and hopefully not cutting myself or breaking them and once you find the spot to where you want them moved to what do you use to hold them in place while reapplying the new glue?
And how long does it need to be cured before putting water back in there?

Any pictures that you have showing this will be greatly appreciated.

I have never done it myself but have watched videos on Youtube of people doing this I do know that they use DVD cases for spacers and masking tape to hold the pieces in place. I know there are people here that are a great resource but Youtube also has some detailed videos.

Thank you I totally forgot about You Tube. Just got through watching a couple of videos and I believe this will help me.

I made my own sump from a 55 gallon tank, it's pretty easy. I used acetone to clean the glass really well, then put the baffles in and used masking tape to hold them in place. I used ge scs1000 silicone and applied a generous bead then let it set for 2 weeks. To make the bubble trap in mine I used dvd cases as spacers, and did one baffle per day so i could easily take the spacers out. Good luck with the project
