So,

I been looking for a while and been debating bad on getting a calcium reactor. I am sick of Kalk top off method and wanted to do something more hands free. So I invested in a Skimz Monzter Calcium reactor I will provide a list of what I got let me know what you think. And if anyone knows how to set one up give he a ring I would love the help.

sorry I do not know anything about calcium reactors. I have only heard some Youtube people not recommend it but you know how that goes. Everybody has a "better" way.

I have no first hand experience with them, but plan on putting one on my tank in the future if I can keep all the other parameters where I need for sps and do well with that.

That's being said I know they can be tops for ultimate stability of alk, ca, mag etc. If you monitor its effluent well. Which with all the probes and stuff looks to be the case. equipment wise to me it also looks like you should be good to go, though I do wonder why you are using Milwaukee control/ph monitoring if you have a reefkeeper, and not use that for everything so that it's all integrated, and can work together and use commands prompts etc. For more control over the system plus alerts.

What don't you know how to do with the reef keeper? I have minimal experience with them, have always used apex, except my first was a reef keeper elite like 5 years ago. So if it's technical I'm of no help. But if it's suggestions as far as programs etc I might be able to help some. But it could save you 115 or 160, might be worth learning.

I am worried that I don't know how to program the net module that came with it, or accurately program the rest. I have my lights programed to it but no much more. I would be willing to pay someone a frag or a favor if they want to help me put it all together.

Do yourself a favor and get a aquariumplants.com regulator. It's the best one on the market, really easy to control and very precise. Also you will want to get another ph probe to monitor you PH inside the reactor...keep it around 6.5 to 6.6.

I did get a Milwaukee regulator and a Milwaukee ph probe to in sure accuracy and redundancy. But i will check out the one u listed i spared no expense on this tank and dont want something simple to mess it up.

I'm going to be using a lab grade regulator when I set mine up.

So, after 6 months do you like it? What size is it and what size is your tank? Is it sized right or would you go bigger or smaller? I used to use a calcium reactor on my 240 gal. I felt like I spent all my time counting drops and bubbles so I changed over to two part dosing. For Ca I dose over a liter a day of CaCl and it's driving me nuts. I'm thinking of going back to a Ca reactor but I fear the price tag.

This is kind of a late reply but DO NOT USE THE MILWAUKEE CO2 REGULATOR. I Repeat! DO NOT USE THE MILWAYKEE CO2 REGULATOR to dose the Co2 to the reactor!!
WHY?
I'm glad you asked! This regulator is not designed to handle ANY back pressure. So, what will happen is when the controller shuts off, the electric solenoid will stick, (sometimes open, sometimes closed) I spent MANY MANY months trying to dial my CA reactor in and never was able to, Even went so far as to talk to the factory rep from Milwaukee, he's the one that told me about the back pressure but he still maintained that it was a good regulator to use for a CA reactor. He never got it that were only despencing 30 bubbles a min thru the regulator which is a hell of a restriction to the solenoid valve. I gave up on the CA reactor and kept dosing which is expensive. What I finally did was get a whats called a Carbon Doser regulator and never looked back. I was able to dial the reactor in within in an hour and the CA reactor has now been running for more than 2 years now. Just google carbon doser to learn more about it.

Feel free to contact me with questions

I've been running a CaRX for 5 years now, best money I spent besides buying my Apex. I second/third/fourth the Aquarium Plants Carbon Doser, simple and precise.

A good regulator is key. I went with a step up from aquarium plants and am very happy

Reef central from the guy who builds them. Stay away from eBay. The same one I got was listed for $750. If I recall correctly I paid $300 or so for this one.
