MAAST Presents: Seahorses

Join the MAAST Board of Directors at the San Antonio Aquarium on July 11th for our third quarter board meeting as well as an educational presentation on Seahorses! We will also be handing out our frags for the Annual Coral Grow Out Contest as well as holding a charter member giveaway of a Buckeye Hydro RODI unit!


Our Board meeting will run from 12-1:30 followed by the Seahorse presentation by our very own Cheryl Taylor at 2!

Please note, until we got confirmation from the aquarium on guests, MAAST will only be allowed free entrance for charter and web members for the meeting.

Alright guys, MAAST will be covering the entrance fee for our members and their guests. Please bring your charter member cards if you have them as they will be used for your free admission.

Cheryl has extensive knowledge in Seahorse husbandry and breeding that she wants to share with the group. You won't want to miss this one! Free entry to the San Antonio Aquarium for you and your kiddos, a nice RODI door prize give away for our Charter Members, a very informative Seahorse Presentation, and of course hanging out and talking tank.

Charter Members, the Board Of Directors would love to have you present for our quarterly BOD meeting at noon. We have a lot to discuss including but not limited to the possibility of cutting back on monthly meetings and door prizes. If you care about the future of the club and have a free afternoon this Saturday please come out and be heard.

URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT:

In order to obtain free entry for yourself and your guests, a formal RSVP is required, so that we can leave a list at the door. This will ensure that both MAAST as well as the aquarium is protected from being taken advantage of by non-members. Please RSVP in this thread, or privately. RSVPS will be in the OP.

If you are a charter member, you and a guest will be free, but please RSVP here as well. This includes if you will only be there to pickup your frag.

Free entrance into the aquarium exhibits will begin FOLLOWING the seahorse presentation and the RODI giveaway.

Our Treasurer Sherri plans to be at the meeting on Saturday. She has been through a lot over the last couple of months which has caused her to fall a little behind. She will have cards and the laminator with her so you will be able to get your cards. Thanks for your patience guys.

MAAST meeting today! See you guys there!

Everyone, Due to the board meeting today, will have someone posted by admissions from 11:30-12 and then again from 1:30-2 to grab our members as they walk in. Today will be a busy day for the aquarium and do not want their staff to do too much extra work to accommodate us. We will see if we can leave a list with paid tickets for Maast members who RSVPd at admissions between 12-130 in case anyone is running late. Thanks!

Thank you MAAST for organizing this meeting at such a wonderful venue. I had a great time! Cheryl's presentation was extremely informative. Her passion is inspiring. She makes me want to set up a sea horse tank, and raise a bunch of sea horses.
