Where locally can I buy a clam and some Asteria Stars?

Asterina stars are pests, doubt you can buy them. Are you feeding a harlequin shrimp? We pull them and throw them away. How many do you need?

Not feeding a harlequin shrimp, but feeding a Blue Linkia Star. Could use a few, just not sure how many I would need to seed the tank with and make sure they are not all eaten up quickly.

I didn't realize it either until I bought one and did some research. Apparently, there are quite a bit of threads where they are shown eating them.

I looked last night and could only spot a couple. Where are you in SA? You are welcome to them, we just pull them out. Not sure it is worth the trip for so few. They have never been an issue getting out of control in our tanks.

Over by USAA and the Medical Center... We usually do water changes over the weekend. Sent you PM with my phone #. See if I can't come up with a way to coral some in the sump for you. Give a shout if you are going to be over this way.

Starfish used to be a problem in my tank in the past.
I was infested.
They started to show up a couple weeks after i had added a bag of live sand.

Well, I usually have a few stars in my tank...but not "infested" yet...lol
as far as buying a clam, Elegant Reef always has some beautiful ones when I've been there.

Thanks Mike, your a little far though, but for sure, you get me quite a bit in the sump I will head that way.
