MAAST Coral Grow Out Contest 2015 - Checking interest

Alright everyone, its that time again!! We are going to be launching the MAAST 2015 grow out competition in the near future. We have some great frags lined up from AquaSD and are in the process of getting some really sweet prizes put together. Its going to be a 3 category competition. Zoa/ paly, LPS, and SPS. There will be a entry fee of $20 for each category to help cover the cost of some super nice frags and some great prizes in each of the categories. That's right, $20 entry fee for a really nice coral frag, friendly competition, and an opportunity to win some excellent prizes!

You must be a charter member to enter. To maximize the number of participants all Charter members, Moderators, and Board of Directors members will be allowed to participate. Charter members will have first dibs at the slots available before the others can join in. Board members will not be allowed to win prizes. Each participant will have the opportunity to enter any one of the categories and up to all 3 categories if they wish to. Each category will have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes. All reefers are welcome. If you live out of San Antonio like Austin or Corpus Christi, we will get your frags to you so don't hesitate compete! Below are the corals tentatively lined up.

This is just a "looking for interest thread". The announcement/ sign up thread will follow as I get the packages finalized and see the interest that the competition draws. Please let us know if you're interested so that we can order the correct amount of frags.

Agree with Larry. Last time I was a participant and it was a great experience. The funny thing was I always thought I was bad a growing out Zoas and that was the area I won a prize in. Please be sure to sign up if interested.

Daily Bump to get this thing built up. Check out the corals for this years Coral Grow Out contest guys, the pics are looking pretty good. When you do the math, the entry fee for each corals is less than what you would pay at retail! Great contest for bragging rights, awesome prices, and budget friendly corals (on a cost vs retail basis)!!!

Alright guys the sign up deadline is going to be one week from today. That will be Friday June 12th. Right now participation is too low for three categories so we will likely be going with one category BUT it will be a nicer higher end coral. Everyone that signs up will have some input on the type before it is ordered. This is going to be a good one that you won't want to miss out on!
