Hello guys my name is Christian. I've been in the hobby for about 12 years now, but I'm looking for some advice. Here is the back store of the aquarium.
From November 30 I had an aquarium is started to leak so wverthing was moved into a smaller aqurium. The aquarium that was leaking was a 120 gallon. So on Christmas day I bought a 160 gallon marine land aquarium. Between December and today we have had about 3 power outages. 2 were due to triped brakers and one because of a storm.
thats not really the big problem.
The problem I have is the aquarium is just plane boring, and I've had a quite a bit of fish die on me. I'm not sure why they die, or how to resolve this.

Equipment:
4x Led stunner strips
2X white
2X blue
hours: 7am blue - 7pm
8am white - 6pm
3X 150watt MH they come on from 12- 1:30 right now I was slowly adding 30 min each week till it reaches about 5 or 6 hours.
Wave maker,
has two 1" return lines, one on each side of the aquarium
one over flow 2" on the right side.

Fish:
1X clown fish
1X golden head goby
2X yellow prawn gobys
1X pajama Cardinal

Corals:
GSP have not opened in 4 months
Zoas (cream cicle) not bright in color

I am waning to be able to do any coral I want but I can't seam to figure out what is wrong and why wverthing looks gray and no it's not because the rocks are gray. Lol. I do have about 200 LB of live rock in the aquarium.
any and all thoughts will be helpful.
Thank you

Are you testing your levels regularly, how long was your cycle there's a lot of missing information.

What kind of filtration are you using? I'm assuming sump. What are the deminsions, media used, refugium?

I test once every week
nitrate: 0.0
nitrite: 0.0
Ammonia: 0
ph: 8.4
Salinity: 1.024
do water changes about 20 gallons once a month, and top off when I need to.

Please post the results of your last test and also include temp.

What are you using for nutrient export other than 8% monthly water changes? (protein skimmer, reactors, media?)

Pictures can also be worth 1000 words. Please post some pictures of your set up so we can see what you're working with.

I have filter floss to catch large and small particals.
I also place a carbon filter where the water enters the sump.
Ive been thinking about running a skimmer in the sump but have not bought one yet.

The he sump is 38LX18wX12H its a marineland store display system and sump. Made in 1997

I can't pull up the attachments for some reason. Just curious, do you use RO water or tap water? If so, do you go the store and obtain it or do you make your own? If you make your own RO when's the last time you changed the membrain And filters? Also I would have your water tested by a 3rd party. I have a feeling the nitrate test might be off.

They opened for me but I reposted the last one. I can get it tested at my LFS and see what they come up with.

Still can't open the attachment. Are you downloading it using the site or are you posting a link. Just curious, by any chance could the water you're mixing have chlorine in it?

Alright, so I was looking at the parameters and issues you have and I have some questions and suggestions:

The parameters look fine, but I think your temperature is a little low. I try to keep my tank at around 77-79 degrees constantly. I would check the following:

David mentioned the water source and I am as well. What do you use for your water source, tap, RODI, pre-made water.....

If you are running tap or using an old RODI unit, I would check for chloramines as these can build up if your have not changed the filters in your RODI unit or just using tap. Get some Amquel or something to neutralize the Chloramines in your tank.

You mentioned that you've lost some fish, how soon did you lose them to when you started your tank? You mentioned some tripped breakers, were they from something else in the house or around the breaker location of your tank outlet? I'm wondering if you have any stray voltage in your tank. If you have one, get a voltmeter and check for stray voltage.
