what is up with my hammerhead bubble coral? PIC

it was doing great for the first couple weeks and now the 2nd half has pretty much melted away. the weird thing is that the other half is perfectly fine.

i dont think i was ready for these types of coral yet. my birdnest is still slowly bleaching.

i never was able to get my water checked, but i did do a water change and cleaned out my sump with cold water.

Looks like something stung it. Put it lower in the tank with low flow and see how it reacts. I have had FS colonies tip over onto other coral and lose heads that way.

is it recoverable? i moved it to a lower side of the tank. hopefully this will help...

well there goes that... the second half melted away today. i guess i stick to just softies.
