View Full Version : What do you consider a rare coral to have?

I'm in the process of planning my next upcoming tank build for this reef, and I wanted to go with some corals that in the world of trading card aficionados...would be considered uncommon to rare type of species. Don't get me wrong, I have some of the more common species like birdnests, Cal torts and digi's but I wanted to also get my hands on some hard to find corals due to their coloring or rarity (while still legal).

I was just looking on Ebay when I saw some of Cornbred's corals and was blown away at both the colors on them and the price.

Let's share our ideal "showcase" corals on this thread. It can be one you have or one that you would love to give. Pics are not needed but very much encouraged. Here are mine:
