gold chalice losing color

I have a gold chalice that looks to be losing color. Its starting to get darker in color and was wondering if its due to to much light. I have this in a shallow tank(24 L x 24 W x 10 H) and my lighting is a hydra 26. Light is 9 in off the water. Here are my setting when they peak UV 15%, Violet 40%, DB 40%, RB 40%, G 10%, DR 10%, and CW 20%. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

You may have your lights too high, particularly the CW @20%. I don't remember my exact specs but when I was running the hydra on my 8 gallon tank, I dont recall any color being over 15-20%. As a charter member, you can use our MAAST par meter if you wanted to dial in your par. Alton's the guy to contact for that.

My lights were 2x hydra (original model) at 24'' AWL on a 24x12x8'' tank.

Envy if your nutrient levels are in check and alkalinity is within acceptable range then lighting would be the likely culprit. While some chalices do fine n higher light when acclimated to it like the Hollywood stunner others others will not.

Thats an old pic but only one i have at the moment skimmer is in the middle chamber

Testing your PAR with the MAAST PAR meter would be highly beneficial to you. Especially with your tank being a shallow one. If your parameters are all in check then surely light intensity is the cause. Get with Alton about using our meter.
