Hello MAAST
The coral grow out contest that we will be holding from June '15 thru October '15 will be a fund raiser for our trip to Corpus later this year. Just as we did in the last contest, ALL proceeds will go back to you the member. That being said, we are going to try to get ALL of the coral and prizes donated to the club this go around. For this contest to be a success I want to insure that we seek out the types of coral and prizes that you the participating members would like to see. Please throw your thoughts in here as to the type of coral ie. sps, lps, paly/ zoa, and etc.. that you think would make for a good candidate. Should we narrow it down to one type of coral this go around or stay with the three major types of coral to cover all interests? Also, what do you feel is a fair entry fee? Some felt that $20 per category was too high and others felt like it was a great price.
Also if you are reading this and thinking, "Man I would like to frag my colony up and donate it to the contest" then by all means shoot me a PM!
Sponsors if you are reading this and would like to have your name involved please send me a pm so we can get you involved. (Be expecting one from us for donations  )
My thoughts are..
3 categories:
SPS - encrusting monti
LPS - chalice or acan
Zoa/paly - a popular great grower like nuclear greens
$20 entry fee per category
