So just had the worst experience with Texas Tropical. Purchased a chevron tang went straight home to acclimate him and he dies during acclimation. My water is perfect and they won't do anything bout it.

Man that would be hard to chew. Especially with a high end fish.
Unfortunately that is the risk that we take with many of the LFS. In turn that is also the risk that they take when purchasing their fish from wholesalers.

Sorry for your loss.

How long was he in there tanks and was he eating? Normally Chevrons are fairly tough, but anytime you move an animal you take a chance of them not making it.

they say he was there 3 weeks. and I did see him eat but I believe they may have stressed it out while tryin to catch him. there is no way a fish would die a hour after bagging him unless you stress it out to the extreme.

Tangs do sometimes freak and die. Don't they have a 50% policy?

I can remember taking a Purple Tang to a fish store for credit that I had in my tank 2 years, and upon arriving he was laying dead in the bottom of my aerated bucket. It sucks losing a fish either way
