Frogspawn dying

I don't know what happened. I moved my frogspawn from it's original location on my rock to the sand bed. A few days later I noticed brown slimming stuff coming from it. I pulled it up and noticed some heads were dead. I moved it back to it's original spot and it seems to be killing the whole thing. We are talking about 20+ heads. What's going on? TIA

I'm going old-school here. Dry a Lugols dip. They almost seem to like it, and it usually stops the brown-slimming.
