I saw one of these in Phamily's tank earlier this week and now the fish bug has bitten me. Does anyone here have any experience with these fish? I read that they can be aggressive but most every other fish in the tank that this would be going into has the same reputation with the exception of my pencil wrasse who is a big baby.

I decided to add an 8 lines wrasse to my 65 mixed reef. So far so good. No aggression to other fish and won't be bullied either. I fed my tanks some sargassum shrimp last summer and he is finding all of the survivors. These guys are definitely NOT shrimp safe. LOL Check out the belly on this little gorger.

Are these different then a 6 line? Or are they in the same family?

Same family as the 4 line and 6 line. They have a reputation for being nasty like their cousins which is why I started the thread to see if there was anyone with experience with them. Phamily has a large 8 line in his system and it is also a model citizen. Fingers crossed that this one continues to play nice. Very pretty fish!
