Hello! I am just getting back into the saltwater life, and I am purchasing a 24 gallon Nano cube, but I have a few questions. I figured I would post here because the people in this area are good with Nano tanks. When I broke down my 55, a friend of mine was going to sale or hold some of my corals. My question is would softies and zoas be okay in the tank with the stock lighting that comes on the nano cube? I really only want to keep corals if the lighting will be suitable for them. I know I have to cycle and everything I am just thinking ahead that way I know if I should just sale the corals I have left or take them to the Nano when its ready :)

Zoanthids, softies, and some LPS will thrive under the stock biocube lighting. I had a lot of success with them.

Yay!!!! I have a torch and frogspawn that I am thinking of. They were my all time favorite corals and finally my hubby gave me the okay to purchase whatever I need so I want to be sure the lighting was okay for those guys :)

Those lights will grow Euphyllia. I borrowed the Maast PAR meter to read mine when I had them and was getting 250 PAR a few inches under the water and 80 at the sand bead the hammer and torch corals I had in it were mid way down the rock and grew very well.

Like clownfiitch said softies are good pretty much anywhere in the tank. Lps have to be higher up. I would add one first see how it goes then in a couple of weeks add the other.
