I recently saw a youtube video of a guy that had a 400 gallon brute container and used it as a top down aquarium. He said the system was dirt cheap and he could keep all he fish he's wanted. I'm curious as to how one would plumb such a tank, and any advice a local hobbyist can share. Definitely something I'd like to do in the future. I'll use this thread for advice/ to keep ideas "on paper" and hopefully one day transition to an actual tank.
If I set this up today, here's what I'd like to use:
Tank: Rubbermaid 300 gallon stock tank
Lighting: 4x Radions
Flow: Not sure, I've heard issues with stock tanks cracking due to stress from MP's so I'll leave this blank for now
Skimmer: No idea
Live rock: 200 pounds, fiji premium
Sand: No idea, probably fiji pink and probably an ungodly amount.
