I bought an acrylic buffing system at AutoZone to buff out my wife's acrylic head light covers on her car. It worked really well but it definitely takes some patience and elbow grease.

What grit sandpaper. I work in the automotive industry. So i have access to all sorts of sand papers. I was think starting with 1000 and then 2000 or 2500

Depends on how deep the scratches are . 1000 then 2500 would be ok
