Anyone work with Silicone & Tanks? The overflow on the solana decided to come apart from the glass.. Anyone around our side of town know how to work with Silicone to fix it?
This is not cool.. :( I was hoping to stay in the hobby for a little while longer with this tank but something always has to go wrong... booo---
Anyone out there to help? Ross says to get rid of it! And Im almost right there with him!
Feelin Fustrated!

Is the overflow just on the top half of the tank or does it go from top to bottom?
If it's just a small back wall overflow you could probably get away with draining half the tank, razor blading the overflow off while running a shop vac to catch silicone, scraping the glass really well and silicone the overflow back on. It will be a major PITA to do with water in the tank.

The tank was emptied a couple days ago cleaned etc.. we were setting back up today and it partially came off. boo-- It goes from top to bottom.. only one side came undone..

Oh ok well that makes it easier. Just do what I described above using an exacto knive. Make sure you remove all the old silicone and clean the glass very well before adding the new bead of silicone.
