Clown fish

How many of the same type can you have in one tank? I know different types of clowns might fight but what about the same type?

I think it depends on tank size. I saw like ten occelaris in a tank. But it was a 700 gallon system. Right now I have a large gold stripe maroon and two occelaris in one tank and they don't fight at all!

Safely and in the long run I believe two. Search for Aces post when he was raising clownfish, he had a bunch in his 250 and it worked fine until they started maturing. I had two little guys for over two years, once they paired up nothing was safe that swam over there hosting frogspawn.
