Either a clog in your drain or return; or your return pump is acting up

the OF is in the tank, HOB.

ill take the drain tube off and inspect it. if i dont find anything i guess it will be safe to assume its the pump.

Wolfman was hinting , ithink, you can move the hob up and down to change the levels, just thinking

I'm not sure what you mean but if you are running a HOB then you could be losing siphon or the level needs to be adjusted.

If it's drilled you have blockage in a drain somewhere. I don't think it's a pump because that would result in excess water in the sump not the display.

so i checked the drain pump and that wasnt it, but while putting the OF back on i noticed the of was all the way down. the plastic wing nut must have loosened up.

thing is, i know have to get the suction going and i cant find the **** tube i use to siphon the water and im in no way mobile because i messed up my back at work today.

any make shift ideas?

it was the OF. some how it was knocked up and was allowing the tank water level to raise up. i didnt even think about check the level of the OF.

my chick called me at work freaking out that the display tank was overflowing so i LOL'ed and then told her to shut everything off. i then hurt my back. the entire time at the er all i could think about is the tank.

i was also able to find a small enough tube that would allow me to suck the water.

thanks for the help! i would have honestly never thought of checking the of.

Yeah, I was pretty relieved. I also lied about it overflowing. I had misunderstood her. The water level was pretty high though.
