Nah, it will be tied into my display.... So im not worried about the heat.

Settings will be super low too.. Maybe 5 white, 20blues and 5 on all others..

Thats why i want the heat sink exposed, just in case...

Does that lid have the clear plexi on the tank side for the light to rest on?

Yes the splash guard is there but if it rest's on it, the heat sink will be inside the lid.

If you have something to make four rubber feet you could use silicone adhesive to adhere the feet to the light and plexi splash guard.

What standoff do you need from the splash guard? I have some 1 1/2" dia x 2" tall acrylic rod sections we could make work maybe.

If the acrylic rods don't work you can try and make some brackets that will mount onto those 4 existing screw holes in each corner.

Ended up just using zip ties.... Worked out pretty well imo..

Just need to wire it up and slap back on the splash shield.
