Is that what these guys could be trying to tell me?? They have never really opened and spread out. Either umbrella or how they look in the pic.. All 3 frags.

Hydra 52 highest is royals at 48 everything else 30-36

Try dropping the frag rack lower and see if they open up more. If so you know it's the lights...I know the 52s are meant to penetrate really deep tanks all the way to the bottom; your tank doesn't look that deep so is guess too intense lighting for them

Or you could go into coral acclimation mode on your light.

They have been like that for months. Closing and opening. Lights used to be at 15-20%

Yea I lowered them. Water is good. Hopefully that's all it is. Thanks for the advice.

IMO that 52 is hat too powerful...I'd try to run them at like 25-30%. You could run a regular hydra over that tank at 40-50% and cover everything with enough intensity

I'll crack it back. What's the highest you'd go on the levels?

How long is your photoperiod too? I've had great results running a photoperiod much shorter than most, and running lower intensities than most people strive for.

Sunrise is 8am and sunset is at 7pm

You should try and use the maast par meter to see where you are at.

I think that's what is the matter with my zoas. I cut my radions back to 65% and used a different schedule that isn't so bright.

when you say parameters are good what are you cal, alk, phos, nitrate levels at? your light levels don't seem to high
