My salinity is too high, at one point it was at around 1.33. Obviously I want to lower it to 1.25. So far I have replaced 10 gallons of salt water with RODI water, it is still sitting around 1.29 to 1.30. Does anyone have any better way to lower the salinity? Replacing the water doesnt appear to be doing much. Thank you for your help

That's all you can do. Take out salt water and replace with rodi.

Sound like you need to replace about 20 more gallons. Take it slow though. Maybe just do 5 gallons a day and let it level out.

20 more, that's alot! Oh well, im making more water today, so that should be easy to do.

Just don't do it too fast. Give them time to adjust.

I will do 10 today, and wait 24 hours and if need be, do another 10 tomorrow

Just curious. What are you using to measure salinity? If it's a swing arm, please re-check with another hydrometer.

I am using a refractometer as well as a calibrated salinity probe on my reef keeper elite, both readings are identical. It is around 39-40 ppm this morning.

I did a 10 gallon water change last night and that did the trick, salinity is down to 35 ppm
