Has anyone seen this new power head from them? Like a cross between tunze and vortech.

I saw them earlier on that same site. Never seen them in person though. I was looking at the new reef breeder LEDs.

Awesome pumps without the triple digit price tag.

I have one in my tank right now. Sick wave all across the tank.

Is it hard to setup the wireless for these? And would you compare this to their wp40?

I didn't even know they made a wireless version. Also I have no experience with the wp40. I only have ONE wp25 in my tank. It's a 72 bowfront and that one pump is more then enough flow. Any more and I would have a wave go over te edge of the tank:(

I dont believe they make a wireless version. Ive played with the dual controller and the new stronger pumps....but none had a wireless option

It says it can link 8 wirelessly but I have no experience with these new ones. I was about to buy two wp40 with the twins(dual) controller but now I'm going to wait and see how these pan out.

The wireless setting looks easy, according to the youtube video you just flip a switch between master or slave. You can also control the power individually

The new RW pumps are wireless for sync only (2+ pumps). I'm more interested in the flow characteristics of the new pumps; looks like they might have a wider flow profile...

They just released the wireless models. RW15 and RW8.

Comparing them to the Vortechs, that's all they do as well. Wireless sync or Anti-sync. Some people on RC were suggesting they may have wider flow as well. I have not heard any first hand experience about these yet.

I'm going to run their control for the time being, if it ends up being junk I'm going to order the jbwave to control

These look quite promising . I am sure tunzes or ecotech will be coming out with some deals .

Looks really nice. If it can make a wave for a fraction of the cost of vortech or tunze, awesome! Following this one for sure.

I had not heard about that. Sounds awesome. I may buy one just to play around with it.

I got the rw-15 and this thing puts out some serious flow. Quiet as well. I have one in a 30x30x24 and it's almost too much flow even at the lowest setting. About the same amount of flow on low as my mp-40 on about 8 on the new controller. It's hard to tell if the controller is good or not since it's on such a small tank I can run through the settings to make a judgement, my tank 5 ft tank will be picked up this week and when I water test it and see how the controller acts. I will say I believe I will be ordering the jbwave for greater control and night mode. The sensor on this does not pick up the led that well.

Yeah always heard their light sensors aren't great so that doesn't surprise me.

Bumping an old thread... How do yall like these so far? Its been awhile and from reading on other sites most people love them. Fish street has the rw15 2 for 150$ so it will be a income tax purchase since I just bought myself a "fish list" Christmas present. haha

Edit- It seems the rw20 is too strong even on larger tanks since Im going LPS/softy, thanks to the above fish I just got, I figured I would get the lower flow rw15 which everyone relates to a mp40.

I have the wp 25 on my 72 bowfront. It started to lose its potency. Didnt seem to create waves any more. Took it apart and gave it a good scrubbing. Now its almost creating a wave out of my tank. Awesome powerheads!!!

Since the Cube I had gotten a 6 ft 125 ad I had 2 of the RW15 and it was way too strong even on the lowest setting. i have 2 of the rw8 now and it is by far more manageable, but it is only turned up to setting 3 and its still strong. they certainly push some water.

Have ve you considered getting it from reed breeders? They offer one year warranties and are located in the usa for ease of contact and in case you have to make a return.

Yeah I looked at them there first but they are $50 more. I wont be buying them anytime soon but if reefbreeders will match fish-street I will buy from them. These will be on with my tunzes so if one goes down its not a big deal.

I got my rw-15 from amazon, they have a vendor that offers the 1 year warranty as well for $92 shipped.

Bump to a really old thread:
So I just bought two wp-40's with the dual controller. I ran through a bunch of the settings and I really like this for the price. I have these on my 6 ft 125gal and on level 5 wp1 it makes a pretty good wave. I have a lot more nutrient export than I did before and if I put this on else mode. It's really stirs things up.

I know this threads a year old, but the 2 WP40's work great for the 125 gallon tank.
