New stand

Ive built a new stand out of 2x4s and the top is 2x6s. My question is should I go with a piece of 3/4 plywood for the top to ensure its true...or go with a piece of foam to take up for any variance in the wood...or do both?

I would definitely add plywood to the top but I'm not sure about the foam. I don't think it would hurt anything but I'm not 100% sure.

Definetly do the plywood, and as long as you know the top is good and straight i wouldnt worry about the foam
