Carpet anemometer help!

I went on vacation over the weekend and had a friend check on the tank everyday. When I got back my carpet anemometer does not look happy at all. His mouth was open. So I changed the water Sunday but his mouth was open throughout the whole night. He looks a little better now but mouth is still a little and definitely not as big as he should be. All the blogs that I'm reading is telling me that the anemometer is dying so here I am freaking out. Is he gonna be okay?http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/14/e4y8uqud.jpg

Looking rough, might have to take it out to d a Cipro treament in a separate tank. You would get quicker response in Emergency Forum for something like this.
