ive noticed that in the few tanks ive seen in person and the handful ive seen online had no coralline growth on the glass. is there a reason for this or is it all personal preference?

I would say personal pref. I get it but scrape it off.

I scrape mine off the sides and front glass. But never off the back glass

Some tanks get it, some don't. My current nano has zero coralline algae growth, my 150 had tons. Also, like the others, I scraped the front and sides and left the back alone. The purple was prettier then seeing all the hoses and stuff :)

I only scrape the front. Its funny because some of my hermit crabs have crazy C growth.
