I'm very curious to see if that birdsnest branch continues to grow. The cap just grew up over and around it and it looks now like the birdsnest speared it.

Thanks. I've only had it for two weeks but seems to be doing really good so far. It has a faint blue ring around the mantle that has been getting bluer daily. Pretty cool. :-)

What's the acro in the last pic? It's colored like a garf bonsai but the growth looks more like a deep water acro. Let me know if you ever frag it. :) Very nice pictures!

It is a garf bonsai. I just got it from Rob who bought the colony from Allan a few years ago. Very neat piece and seems to grow pretty quick. Thanks!

That's my favorite shot too. Not sure how long it will stay like that.but it sure is a cool growth pattern.

I didn't realize that plate was going to grow towards the birdsnest but it has come in contact with it a few times. Each time the birdsnest polyps will die within an 1/8th inch of the point of contact and then grow back. I figured the monti would kill of the birdsnest at point of contact but it keeps coming back. Very interesting.

Before you ask, the corals are still sticking out of the water.

Very healthy coral. Did that acro actually grow out of the water or is that do to evaporation?

While the pumps are off in that picture, you're seeing an accurate description of my tanks water level. Only my rear chambers show any effect from evaporation. The main display stays at a steady level.

Unfortunately, my corals are not as healthy as they once were. I'm nursing the color back into them.

They should!

Remember, you gave them to me because you couldn't see them through your scratched Finnex glass. So you put them in my tank, where people could see them.

You gave me a bunch of frags John. You have any idea which ones are yours?

That is one of my SPS that has almost completely died. There is but a frag left on the tip of it. I have about 4-5 corals that I need to cut-out of the tank, frag, and re-glue. I'm afraid to do anything too soon. I wanted to give the tank a chance to get used to the new bulbs, clean water, and generally heal a bit, before I go poking around.

In addition to the above, I am going to give away some SPS to de-diversify my tank a bit. I have too much variety.

I'll be giving away... 1. Tyree Blue Capricornis, 2. Paletta Lovelii, 3. An Unknown SPS. John, you have first dibs. You just need a tank/cup/cardboard box of saltwater now.
