Hey guys !! Advice please. I finally coughed up the cash for an ai sol blue with controller and I don't wanna bleach my reef. Currently running the 6 gallon fluval edge with sps, Lps, and some chalice frags .. How high should I hang the light and how much should I power down the light intensity ? Any advice would be greatly appreciated !!

WHAT KIND OF LIGHT DID THEY HAVE BEFORE

AN AI NANO PROB WOULD OF DONE BETTER UNLESS YOU ARE UPGRADING THE TANK LATER

Haha just saw the 6 gallon fluval tank..... Duh! Moms bday, i finished cooking earlier, been a long day....

Keep whites 30% lower than the blues imo

As far as settings... Shoot, start real low with a small tank like that..

AI SOLs are powerful. I'd start with 20% white 40% blue at most and slowly ramp up over many weeks. The best thing to do would be to use a PAR meter to see how much PAR you're getting. MAAST has one available for charter members.

If stuff starts looking ticked off, lower the intensity. With such a small tank, it would be easy to overdo it.

I would honesly say 10 or less with whites, i ran the sols at 30% white/60% blues for a while on my tank..

I wouldn't argue with that. Better safe than sorry.

Currently have a fluval sea and marine 24k.. I didn't put the ai sol up yet.. Scared lol. Want to make sure I do it the right way. I'll look into the par meter. Hopefully the waiting list isn't toooooo long
