I've got an ORA red goni that is looking great and extends everyday. I've heard they grow fast and am wondering what people are doing as far as placement and lighting to make them grow faster? I'm not getting much growth in mine lately

They don't need light so anywhere in the tank is good you have to spot feed them brine shrimp because they are non-photosynthetic

Ya I have red gorgonian as well. They are not photosynthetic so they don't care about lighting. Just put them in moderate flow anywhere and you do have to spot feed them. I feed mine zoo and phyto mix and some other liquid goniopora crap I don't know off the top if my head. Oh and coral frenzie and reef roid

Thank y'all for the help! I'll try to start spot feeding them. I spot feed a lot in my tank and am sure they get a lot from rods reef mix I feed the tank a few times every week. I'll try to specifically spot feed them and see if it helps them

Are you guys and gals sure that they are non-photosynthetic?
According to ORA, they require moderate to high light.

They will all benefit from getting fed, but the one in the link I posted above need light and does not have to be feed.
