Hey guys, I got this Ducan coral from a member about 8 months ago and it has been doing great and growing a lot in my tank. Then I got a Yellow Watchman Goby and he decided one night to bury the end of it in sand. By the time I really saw what was going on the end 3 heads were rotting away. I took the coral out as softly as I could to keep the rotted flesh with it so it wouldnt get everywhere. washed it and cleaned off as mush as i could. that was 2 days ago. Today I got up and see that another head of it is rotting. pictures are from this morning.

What should I do? do i need to frag off the healthy part to save something? I have never fragged Ducans before.

Cut it with a dremel and place the bad half somewhere with less flow.. It can bounce back.

I battled this with my Duncan after my (former) clown made a home in it. I lost about 1/3 of it in the process, but I kept the mush off with a turkey baster, dipped it in lugols and revive (not at the same time and on separate occasions). Took a while, but it bounced back minus the part of the stock I lost.

In the reading I have done on it, many people recommend fragging off the bad parts, but there is no guarantee in that either.

This is branching corals.
SnAp it in worst case and break it apart. U should be fine or use clippers

the branches seem a bit thick to just break but maybe they are weak. i found a cut off wheel at Lowes that should work in my drill so I think ill go that route.
