Does anyone have a coralife chiller? Like the 1/10 hp chiller specifically. I'm curious of two things. I just hooked mine up for the first time tonight. And question one, are they super loud? Question two, if the move an inch do they sound like they're about to explode?
Cause mine does... I attached a video to show what I mean. First half is normal. Second is when I move it. It has to be titled back a bit or else it makes that noise. Curious why that might mean. TIA for No help on this. Need to know if I need to send it back or not.

I have a 1HP coralife chiller I bought from Allan months ago. I hooked it up to make sure it worked at that time and I plan on having it hooked up within the next couple of days so I can report back.
I certainly don't remember it being near that loud when I gave it a test run and this is an older 1HP chiller. If memory serves me right, it sounded like a small freezer or refrigerator running so not near that loud/harsh.
This might be a dumb question, but you aren't running it without the pump on are you? I know they're never supposed to run without water pumping through it.

Yeah. I didn't think that was right. There is water running through it for sure. 200 ish gph. Said no more than 300 so I should be fine on that. Dang. Hate returning amazon stuff. Always a PITA. Appreciate the feedback.

I had a jbj that sounded like that on arrival. I opened the case up to see that the chiller had been damaged in shipping and the fan blade was out of line and was rubbing up against the fan shroud. Its a pita but definitely send it back.

I do what I can Kristy ha ha. I boxed it up last night right after I posted the video. Stupid chiller. My wave maker is on the fritz too. It intermittently works during the day. I can't have any nice things with this tank :(

I feel bad for you.... Until I think about the snorkeling / diving you can do to console yourself if you need a nice marine life view! ;)

****, sounds like a small plane.
I also had bad luck with a wave maker in that tank. Would work for about half an hour to an hour and then it was a ringing note.
Invest in some gear and get wet. The tanks are for those of us that don't have your back yard.
