So I got bit by the gorgonian bug and would like to take a shot at having several types of these in my tank. Right now I have a brownish one in my home and work tank. Both have done very well and have grown 3 times the size since I got them. They have both encrusted onto the rock and are spreading. This past weekend I received a red finger gorgonian on trade and will be adding it to the display this week. I’m looking for all types of gorgonian's as well as sea fans. If you have any that you can frag and trade or any that may not be doing too well for you and you would like to trade for something please let me know. I would rather trade for them since funds are always tight. Thank you for looking.

I love them too!! Something about the shape and movement of gorgonians that I think every reef needs. Once in a great while, mine will twist off a little frag of itself. If that should happen anytime soon, I'll let you know and you'd be welcome to it.

Also, I've seen a nice selection over at South Seas Aquatics for very reasonable prices. Might check with him.

Gorgs are amazing creatures. I have one as well and they make an excellent addition to any tank. :)

Ugh. I have a FOWLR tank, right? Well, upon the advice from here, I ordered a Rock Beauty that had been quarantined and was eating frozen food (they are notoriously difficult to get to eat, as they only eat sponges in the wild - this place returns any that won't eat, back to the wild). Anyway, as a "Bonus", they included Yellow Sea Whip. UGH. But it's doing well!

I am sad. I picked up two gorg frags at the frag swap and my wrasse decided to start snacking on them :(. He doesn't eat anything else but he tore the gorgs up.

Well I'm glad I didn't see those Gorg frags. I might have been tempted!

Are you interested in trading a frag?

Are you TRYING to get me divorced? Seriously... It was her idea to go back to SW, but ONLY as a FO. But I can't help what ends up in the tank. BEN. Glad that piece of SPS you snuck in died.

Hey Mitchell I have an orange gorg with white polyps nps. Its doing great in my softie cube with biweekly phyto feedings. I wouldn't mind adding another type if you wanna do a frag trade.

Bstreep-

I love gorgonians as well. Right now I have some purple Gorgs that I got from SouthSeas in town. I have 2 full sized 12" colonies and one that is slowly encrusting over a dead gorg skeleton I picked up in Miami Beach. Do you have any other color varieties to trade for?

Clownfitch-

That is a nice NPS Gorg. I used to have one and then when a piece snapped, I had two of them. Sadly, Algae starting growing on it when I stupidly put it where it got a little light. If a piece should break off with some nice PE, I wouldn't mind having one again. This time, I have a great location for it under a ledge I built where it will get no sunlight and the bryopsis outbreak is under control.

It is a pretty good sized colony. I wouldn't mind having some purple gorg also if you want to trade a sprig. :).
