Baby Peps

I have a bunch of different sized baby peppermint shrimp in my tank *squee* I will try to get pics of them :)

Awesome! Mine always had eggs and I saw them release but never had babies. Very cool. Congrats. You're an aunt ha ha.

Thanks I'm excited and nervous since we are buying a house I'm scared we may lose them but my 2 peps have eggs with all the rug rats running around their corner

They are approx 1 cm so I'm not 100% sure but I think they are over the 21 day hump :) but they are crawling all over my tank

Can you get pictures now since they are a little bigger? I had one peppermint shrimp release the eggs/larval when I was up waiting for my clownfish eggs to hatch a while back.

We moved the tank since we bought a house and they all died :( I lost so much stock in the move but they were approx around the 3 mth mark as they were turning pink

Mine also but the adults hide in the rocks so when they release the babies, the babies stay in the rocks also

Thanks me too! I'm gonna take the necessary precautions to make sure there aren't any losses of the babies when we move to the 250. I plan on leaving the rocks the babies are living in, in the 90 since we are gonna keep it up and running with no fish and I have a good pod population in there for the small ones to eat. I can't find many threads on people keeping the babies past 21 days but based on the size of the larger ones that I was able to get a photo of their growth puts them past the 21 day mark so I have high expectations that a few will make it. They range from really small and to the size I was able to photograph :)
