I kept seeing puffs of smoke in my tank and finally realized that at least three of my astrea snail are spawning at the same time. Remarkable. I wonder if I will get babies. I have no idea how I would promote their development.

Interesting - a couple of our astrea snails spawned Sunday night after a water change, which I've only observed once before and it was just a single snail. It went on for a few minutes, one little burst every minute or so. Then the sea cucumber stood straight up on end and pushed some liquid out too. It was really unnerving because we always thought that sea cucumbers reproduced asexually by splitting... So I was VERY concerned that the sea cucumber was eviscerating itself and might nuke the tank. But afterwards everything was copacetic.
We have those little colonista snails reproducing like mad on the glass too the past month or so. I wonder if it's seasonal? I've read that all the corals in the ocean spawn once a year on a specific day. Crazy stuff.
