how many nass. snails?

Hey guys quick question:

how many nass. snails is a good amount for a 6 gallon tank? I currently have 2 nass. snails... 2 blue leg dwarf hermits.. 1 scarlet hermit.. a fire shrimp.. and 2 astreas. Thinking about adding some more nass. snails for better sand bed movement. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

It depends on how much you feed. I wouldn't add more than you already have in a 6g tank. You might want to check out some dwarf cerith snails if you want more sand movement.

I would possibly add 2 cerith or 2 nerite snails just to help. Check with reef cleaners as references on what certain snails do. Here is the link for a 5.5 gallon.

TY Ramsey and Envy for your reply. I checked out the reef cleaner link.. good stuff. I think Ill add some dwarf ceriths. I hate seeing anything on my SB, though it's inevitable. Reef cleaners list nerite snails also.. yay or nay?

I have two nerite snails and they are good. The only place you will find dwarf cerith snails is reef cleaners. Probably the best place to buy a clean up crew in San Antonio is zephyr aquatics. They have really good prices for them and you wont overpay.

Darn.. I literally just got back from South Seas. They didnt have any small nerites. The snails I have in there now do a great job on the glass and they roam the LR also, but they dont mess with the sand bed at all. I had a little Cyano that popped up, but it went away. Just want some more SB maintainers. Ill check out Zephyrs next time I'm up that way
