I've been toying with this idea for some time about having my return in the box with my drains. It would be drilled with 3 holes in a row and the 4th hole below the 2nd of the 3 on top and would be fitted with a y and about 6 to 8 inches of loc-line run up to the corners of the over flow box. It would eliminate the need for a return to be drilled and I think it would look cleaner. What are some of your guys ideas on this send would it work.

No reason it wouldn't work. That's how my stock drain/return is set up on the 185. Is this for your new 40b?
