what's the deal with my kenya trees?

I have 2 that were growing side by side and were unable to fully grow simultaneously so I decided to separate the two. Well now both are drooping and look like they might be on their death bed. I figured they would have adverse effects, but not for this long. Does it take these trees a bit of time to get over a bit of hacking and separation?

They are nearly indestructible. Give them a few days. You'll have a Kenya forest in no time.

kenya trees are cool and yep your gonna have a forest unless you run gfo and remove your phosphates
I was nearly at 0 phosphates and took my kenyas and pompoms out. Phosphates back up and they flourished.

i know everyone says that kenya trees are pretty tough, but with me being stubborn and paranoid with this tank doesnt help. im thinking i prob should have just left them alone. its been 4 days now and i still havnt seen any sign of them getting better.
